Local construction industry leaders share their views on the Madison market and predict where things will go from here.
April 2025 – Jeff Grundahl, founder and CEO of National Construction and parent company JG Development, along with a panel of other construction, insurance and legal executives, shared his views on the current state of Madison’s building industry in In Business Madison‘s April issue.
The panel covered:
- Labor and materials challenges
- The vital role of workforce development
- The impact of changing immigration policies
- Interest rates, tariffs and financial workarounds
- Future development outlook
- Important community-based developments
Jeff shared his belief in the importance of encouraging developments that engage with the community as the region’s population grows. “Having been involved in a lot of boards, committees, and planning commissions, conversations about projects often come with questions about amenities — everything from public transportation to restaurants, shops and so forth. Those are all pieces of the engagement process,” he said.
Jeff highlighted two upcoming projects National Construction is involved in:
- Belle Farm, a new eco, health and wellness neighborhood in Middleton, and
- TPC Wisconsin, the new host of the American Family Insurance Championship.
