|Architect:||Mayo Corporation - Madison, WI|
The founders of the City of Delavan, Wisconsin, donated the more than three-acre parcel of land on which a bandshell was first erected in 1870. It was removed in 1948 after sustaining significant damage, but more than 50 years later interest in such a structure was successfully revived. A new master plan for the public park was created incorporating a uniquely designed, wood sided, timber frame bandshell, and construction was completed in 2007. The bandshell is host to free public concerts as well as several special events each year, which promote culture and increase tourism.
