National Construction built a 4,050 square foot warming house to complement new snow tubing runs at Tyrol Basin, one of southern Wisconsin’s oldest and most notable winter recreation destinations.
The one story Sprung Structure features a bar, concession stand, lounge, lockers, bathrooms, vestibule with storage for coats, office and ticket sales area. Thick insulation provides energy efficiency and cost feasibility, and large viewing windows span the length of the structure, overlooking the lighted tubing run. The project also included the addition of a gravel parking lot.
Entrepreneurial owner Nathan McGree anticipated the additions would significantly increase revenue.
